SIENNÁ was born in an ancient town of Kyoto, Japan. She has been musically active by playing piano since she was 4. Her very first performance was taken place when she was 10 as a singer at a local contest where she won a silver medal for her voice & ability.

Music was the best friend in her childhood. She has always been listening to any kinds of music, but  was especially attracted by the modern electronic sounds created by Japanese electronica pioneers like Y.M.O.& Ryuichi Sakamoto. On the other hand, she liked to listen to 80's hard rock music as well & used to play heavy guitars a lot.

Besides, her deep interest in culture became a driving force for her moving to Norway to study the cultural science in 1995. Today, she has a bachelor degree from the University of Oslo & a master degree from the University of Bergen.

While she was still a student, there she met one of  Scandinavia's greatest producers/artists Abòn  - a genuine multi-talent discovered by Norwegian guitar maestro Ronni Le Tekro (TNT, Rypdal & Tekro, Vagabond etc.).  

With his assistance, she started to create her own musical style, which sounded quite "freestyle", "electronic" and "untraditional".

SIENNÁ 's musical style is often described as a "oriental version of Goldfrapp, Underworld & FutureSound Of London". In fact, she has received a huge honor working for internationally well-known artists like f.ex. Nils Petter Molvaer. In addition, she was licensed for MP3-/diverse audio products produced by the world's major electronic company Philips Electronics - together with BenTMusic artists.
